Horses didn’t need a pedigree to bring top dollar at the Cody Horse Sale on Saturday.
Iron Man, a 5-year-old draft-cross gelding, sold for $36,000, which was $5,000 more than 2018’s high seller and $1,000 more than the 2017 top-selling horse.
“He is the perfect opportunity for you to own the best of what the draft-cross breed has to offer in a smaller, more manageable size,” wrote owners Jeff and Christina Tift of Wyoming Horses and Mules east of Sheridan.
The catalog described the nonpedegreed, 14.2-hands-tall grey as a smart trail horse that always aims to please with a great disposition, attitude and personality.
