Tired of the long spring and crappy weather? Think of getting into shape by taking a walk or run, enjoying the sounds and smells of the great outdoors with family and friends. Think about a day at Kiwanis Park at Fort Peck Lake, Mont. Think about signing up for the 25th Annual Longest Dam Race to be held June 15, at Fort Peck Dam, Fort Peck.
The race offers something for everyone. The race begins with the 10k run and will cross 1.8 miles of the Fort Peck Dam. The 5k run/walk begins at the top of Fort Peck Dam, which participants are bused to the start, and will go down a gravel road for approximately 1K and finish at Kiwanis Park.
