North Dakota family who lost sons in deadly crash sue semi driver, company for $10M

FARGO — A Fargo mother has brought a lawsuit seeking damages from a truck driver and his company for a 2018 crash on Interstate 29 that killed her two young boys.

The crash happened when Trista Curry and her three young children were making a trip from Fargo to Stephen, Minn., to visit family in March 2018.

The weather was fine in Fargo, but as they got close to Grand Forks, it turned treacherous. Curry lost control of her vehicle and slid in front of a semi.

Her 9-year-old son Camden and 1-year-old son Maxwell were killed in the resulting crash. Curry and her 3-year-old daughter were seriously hurt, but have since recovered.
