Montana probe widens after third grizzly bear is killed

A Montana hunter shot and killed a grizzly bear Saturday in apparent self-defense, bringing to three the number of “human-caused” grizzly bear deaths to have occurred during the past week.

The previous two incidents occurred in the West Yellowstone area, FWP stated in a news release issued Monday, adding that it was withholding details pending its investigation of all three cases.
