OVER THE WEEKEND, the U.S. military launched airstrikes in Iraq in response to rocket attacks that killed a U.S. contractor and wounded four American soldiers. The target: Ketaib Hezbollah, an Iraqi militia tied to Iran. Today, the group’s commander is warning of a “very tough” response. Given the breadth of Iran’s proxy forces in Iraq, it’s a threat the U.S. is taking seriously.
