BOZEMAN, Mont. — From the moment Montana State took the field it was apparent they were ready to beat the best as they beat Sam Houston State 42-19 down in Huntsville, Texas.
The Cats got things going when, Tommy Mellott, threw a deep ball to, Lance McCutcheon, early in the first getting the team across midfield.
Not much longer after that the Cats were in scoring position.
They dug into their bag of tricks and pulled out the Philly Special as wideout, Willy Patterson, took the snap and passed it to Mellott in the endzone to get the Cats on the board early.
