A recent poll shows Attorney General Austin Knudsen maintaining a commanding lead in his reelection bid, with a 53% to 35% advantage over Democratic challenger Ben Alke. This demonstrates significant support for Knudsen’s conservative agenda as Montanans prepare to vote in the upcoming election.
Montana Republican Party Chairman Don “K” Kaltschmidt expressed confidence in Knudsen’s leadership, stating, “Montanans overwhelmingly support the strong conservative leadership of Governor Gianforte, Attorney General Knudsen, and Secretary of State Jacobsen. They are fired up to send Tim Sheehy to Washington and retire Jon Tester once and for all.” Kaltschmidt underscored the urgency of the election, emphasizing that voters understand the stakes involved.
In addition to Knudsen’s strong performance, the poll indicates that other Republican candidates are also leading in their respective races. Tim Sheehy currently holds a 51% to 45% lead over incumbent Jon Tester, while Governor Greg Gianforte leads Ryan Busse by a margin of 55% to 36%. Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen is ahead of Jesse Mullen, 48% to 31%.
Furthermore, Republican candidates Jim Brown and Susie Hedalen are also leading in their contests for State Auditor and State Superintendent of Public Instruction, respectively.
With less than 30 days remaining before the election, Knudsen and his fellow GOP candidates are gearing up for a final push to secure their positions, riding the wave of growing support from Montana voters.
