Burger Dive’s “I’m Your Huckleberry” is the People’s Choice at the the Zoofari burger competition at ZooMontana on Friday night.
The very first Zoofari brought burgers, brews and bands for a big party and fund raiser.
The Montana Beef Council sponsored the competition.
Callaghan Enterprises, Grille 406 out of Bozeman, Stacked, a Montana Grill and Uberbrew also competed.
Burger Dive won the 2014 best burger in the country.at Red Robin’s Best of the Bash.
“Anytime you’re competing, you’ve got to kind of go outside the box a little bit,” said Brad Halsten, Burger Dive owner. “If anybody showed up with a bacon cheeseburger and won it, that would be awesome but I wouldn’t take my chances on it. so I think everybody’s putting out their best foot and obviously brought their best burger and the competition looks good so it’s going to be a good night I think.”
“There’s some really tasty burgers out there,” said Chaley Harney, executive director of the Montana Beef Council. “And some brought little sliders. Some brought a whole burger to quarter up and sample to just present the best burger sample ever.”
Burger Dive advances to the World Food Championships in Orange Beach, Alabama.
The burger competition is scheduled for November 11.
