Brawl of the Wild: Daines, Fox continue rivalry

For the fourth year in a row, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox and Montana’s U.S. Senator Steve Daines continue their ‘Brawl of the Wild’ wager for the University of Montana – Montana State University football game. The Cats and Grizzlies clash this Saturday in Missoula.

The terms of this year’s bet: the winner will buy the loser a ball cap (Griz or Cat), and the loser will have to post a photo of himself wearing the cap on Twitter and Facebook.

Fox has won the bet for three straight years, so the pressure is on for a Bobcat victory.

“I’m sure Steve is eager for his three year losing streak to end, but I feel good about the Griz’s chances this Saturday,” Fox said. “I’m sure many Montanans across the state share my excitement to see Steve sporting a Griz ball cap following a UM victory.”

“I may have lost this bet for quite a few years now, but I’m sure ready for my Bobcats to take the Griz down this weekend,” Daines stated. “I know my fellow Bobcat fans join me in looking forward to seeing our esteemed Attorney General sporting some Bobcat gear.”

Senator Daines graduated from Montana State University in 1984 with a degree in chemical engineering. Attorney General Fox graduated from the University of Montana in 1981 with a degree in geology and in 1987 with a law degree.
