U.S. Senate democratic candidate visits Rawlins

RAWLINS— Trying to gain momentum for his U.S. Senate run, Democratic candidate Gary Trauner visited with folks at the Jeffrey Memorial Community Center Thursday.

There were less than 10 people in attendance.

Despite this, main issues Trauner highlighted were education, health care and public lands.

Regarding school safety, Trauner said communities need to focus more on having resource officers on campus and less on educators carrying firearms.

Trauner used his wife Terry’s thoughts on the matter.
