WYOMING—The U.S National Weather Service predicts smoke from the western wildfires will begin to move eastward into the afternoon filling the valleys in Northwestern Wyoming with smoke. Jackson remains under a fire weather watch with elevated fire weather conditions predicted until at least Tuesday.
On Sept. 9, during a COVID-19 press conference update, Governor Gordon spoke about activating a Wyoming National Guard crew to fight the fires in California. “I know the people of Wyoming will join me in wishing them a safe journey and safe work saving more lives and more country,” said Gordon.
