Pandemic Continues To Ravage University Budgets: Illinois, Wyoming And North Carolina Schools The Latest To Be Hit

As the coronavirus surges in the U.S., now topping eleven million cases overall with new cases averaging 150,000 a day in the past week, university revenues are being pounded, leading to a new round of budget cuts and personnel terminations. Within the last few days or weeks, several major institutions announced new cost-cutting measures.

Last week, the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees approved University President Ed Seidel’s plan for a $42.3 million budget reduction, caused in part by a 10% cut in state funding.
