MISSOULA, Mont. — Fish, Wildlife & Parks is proposing to develop a new archery range at Big Arm State Park outside Polson, and expand the current range at Lone Pine State Park in Kalispell.
The state would put in a new gravel parking lot, a covered firing line, and an elevated shooting platform at Big Arm.
Montana would buy 9.3 more acres to expand the Lone Pine Archery Range, as use is up 33 percent at the current six point range.
