The Montana VA announced the appointment of Duane Gill as the new director for the Montana VA Health Care System.
Effective June 30, Gill will officially take on the role of director, transitioning from his previous position as interim director, as stated in a news release.
Expressing his commitment, Gill remarked, “I am honored to lead such a dedicated healthcare team at the Montana VA. Every day, our team works tirelessly to serve our veterans, and I am dedicated to matching their hard work and commitment. Our veterans deserve nothing less than our absolute best.”
Before assuming the interim directorship, Gill served as the director of the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System from June 2020. Previously, he held roles as associate director of the same healthcare system from 2014 to 2017, followed by positions as deputy director in Colorado and acting director of VA medical facilities in Kentucky and Colorado. Gill brings a wealth of experience as a U.S. Navy veteran and Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a master’s degree in management from Indiana Wesleyan University and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Eastern Kentucky University.
The Montana VA Health Care System serves approximately 49,000 enrolled veterans across Montana.
