Montana State University (MSU) will debut a new free shuttle service this fall, designed to improve campus mobility and accessibility. The CatTracks shuttle service will start operating on Wednesday, August 21, providing transportation across various campus locations.
The shuttle will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, with vans operating continuously on two distinct routes. The Gold route will cover the main campus, stopping at key locations including Bobcat Stadium, 11th Avenue, Rendezvous Dining Pavilion, Sixth Avenue, and the Strand Union Building.
The Blue route will serve the western part of campus, with stops at 11th and Lincoln, the MSU Innovation Campus (including the Nopper Building), and along 15th Avenue south of College Street. This route will also include a stop on Garfield Street near the ASMSU Early Learning Center.
“CatTracks will be a safe and convenient way for our students, faculty, staff, and visitors to navigate our expanding campus,” said Lt. Randy Crandall, head of MSU Parking and Transportation Services. “As we have increased our academic and student services spaces, which has led to more campus perimeter parking and additional staff at the Innovation Campus, this service has become increasingly important.”
To track shuttle locations in real time, riders can download the Passio GO app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search for Montana State University within the app. The new service aims to enhance campus accessibility and streamline transportation for the MSU community.
