In July, GTUIT was awarded two significant patents that enhance its gas processing capabilities. The first patent, 12,025,373, titled “System and Method for Treating Associated Gas,” is central to GTUIT’s innovative technology. It features a liquid chiller designed to maintain a stable thermal reservoir, allowing for consistent treatment of associated gas, even amid rapid fluctuations in gas chemistry and flow rates. This technology has a wide range of applications, including fuel conditioning for dual-fuel and all-gas drilling operations, power generation, and pre-treatment for LNG/CNG production.
The second patent, 12,030,014, titled “System and Method for Treating Gas to Fuel Turbines,” focuses on processing associated gas to meet turbine fuel specifications. As turbine generators increasingly power electric completions and microgrids, this innovation enables GTUIT to convert associated gas into turbine fuel directly at the wellsite. This approach offers operators greater flexibility in meeting power generation needs, reduces costs, and alleviates truck traffic and congestion at wellsites.
GTUIT’s CEO and President, Brian Cebull, expressed pride in the patent achievements, highlighting the company’s dedication to developing innovative and sustainable solutions that benefit both the industry and surrounding communities.
