Lewis and Clark Public Health warns of measles exposure in Helena

Lewis and Clark Public Health said Friday there was a “confirmed exposure event” on June 15, in which a resident from another county infected with measles visited several Helena businesses.

Anyone present in the following locations during certain hours is considered likely to have been exposed to measles:

TJ Maxx, 2005 Cromwell Dixon Lane, 2-4:30 p.m.Costco, 2195 E. Custer Ave., 2-4:30 p.m.Old Navy, 2:15-5:15 p.m.MacKenzie River Pizza, 1110 Roadrunner St., 3:15-6 p.m.Town Pump Conoco, 2190 Montana Ave. 4-6 p.m.

Lewis and Clark Public Health said it is investigating to identify the likely exposed people. Depending on the contact information available, LCPH will notify those people and provide further instructions by phone call, text message, and/or letter.

As of June 20, 23 measles cases have been confirmed in Gallatin, Flathead, Yellowstone and Hill counties. No cases have been confirmed in Lewis and Clark County residents at this time, officials said.
