Brother of fallen soldier and NFL star Pat Tillman crashes into California post office, causes fire

Federal authorities said the younger brother of Pat Tillman, the former NFL star who died while serving in Afghanistan, crashed into a post office in San Jose, California, and caused the building to go up in flames.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service said Richard Tillman, 44, rammed into the post office around 3 a.m. Sunday before his car caught fire and a blaze engulfed the location in a strip mall.

“Postal inspectors are investigating as an intentional act, it will be determined in a court of law if it was but it does not look like an accident so far,” Postal Inspector Matthew Norfleet told KGO-TV.

Police charged Mr. Tillman with suspicion of arson. Jail records show he remains behind bars in Santa Clara County.
