Nominations are now being accepted for farmers and ranchers to serve on the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency Teton County Committee. This committee makes important decisions about how federal farm programs are administered locally. All nomination forms for the 2025 election must be postmarked or received in the Choteau FSA office by Aug. 1.
The current Teton County FSA Committee members are John Blanchet, representing Local Administrative Area 1 (Dutton and Power); Scott Inbody, representing the Choteau, Bynum and Pendroy areas (LAA 2); and Kelly DeBruycker, representing LAA 3, the Fairfield area. Blanchet’s seat is up for election this year and he is the only one to file for it so far.
“Serving on an FSA county committee provides producers with a unique opportunity to have a say in local farm program decisions, ensuring FSA policies work, as intended, for producers at the county level.” said FSA Administrator Bill Beam.
