President Trump on Monday indicated he’d be sending “more weapons” to Ukraine following weeks of criticism of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s unwillingness to negotiate peace.

The narrative that Trump is Putin’s puppet will surely take a significant blow following the announcement.
“We’re going to send some more weapons,” Trump told reporters during a dinner with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “We have to; they have to be able to defend themselves. They’re getting hit very hard now.”
“They’re getting hit very hard, we’re going to have to send more weapons — defensive weapons, primarily. But, they’re getting hit very, very hard.”
