Houston man shot while holding funeral for family’s pet guinea pig

A man in Houston was shot while he was helping his younger brother bury their family’s recently deceased pet guinea pig in their backyard, authorities said.

The gunfire rang out around 12:30 a.m. Thursday morning during some type of dispute between neighbors, police said.

The fight erupted as the brothers were taking time taking time late in the evening to lay their pet guinea pig to rest.

The neighbor suddenly pulled a gun on the two and opened fire, striking the man in the torso while his little brother watched on, cops said.

The victim was brought to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
