Jimmy Kimmel Melts Down Over Colbert Cancellation, and ABC Has the Chance to Do the Funniest Thing Ever

As RedState reported, CBS has pulled the plug on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” with the decade-long running “comedy” program set to end after the 2025-2026 season closes. That marks a dramatic cancellation of one of the biggest names in late-night, and it’s an ominous sign for a genre that has been going downhill for years.

Naturally, because Colbert had become therapy for Democrat politicians, figures like Rep. Adam Schiff and Sen. Elizabeth Warren were none too happy. Both have appeared on the show multiple times, with Schiff having just filmed his latest “interview” on Thursday, the same day the news broke of the cancellation.
