Several injured in shooting at Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport — with reports of state trooper wounded

One person was critically injured in a shooting at a Lexington airport Sunday morning, according to reports.

Gunfire broke out just before noon at the Blue Grass Airport, with multiple people also injured, the Lexington Herald Leader reported.

Early reports suggested a Kentucky State Police Trooper was seriously hurt, though that remains unclear.

Exactly what led up to the shooting also remains unclear, along with where in the airport it happened.

The suspect fled to church about 16 miles away, according to the Kentucky State Police
