President Donald Trump’s promised, signature legislation, the One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB–cry more, Chuck), passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 218-214, on an expected party line vote (aside from the two Republicans who voted against it). The White House announced that Trump will sign the bill into law at 5:00 p.m. EST on Independence Day, July 4. Love the bill or hate it, as former VP Biden said when Barack Obama’s the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) legislation passed, this is a big, effin’ deal.
