Teton County Montana State University Extension is thrilled to announce we have been selected to receive a 2025 AARP Community Challenge grant. We are one of only 383 grantees selected (out of 3,450-plus applications!) from across all 50 states, Washington D.C, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
With this quick-action grant we will be holding four events in Choteau throughout the summer. First is a Lunch and Learn event on Wednesday, July 9, at the Choteau Senior Citizens Center to introduce the concept of a walk audit and recruit walk audit participants from all ages and abilities in the community.
The first walk audit will be on Thursday, July 17, with technical assistance provided by MSU Extension Specialist Michelle Grocke. If participants are unable to attend the event on the 17th there will be a second audit in late August. At the end of the summer, data from both audits will
