California continues to lead the nation in zaniness and extreme progressivism, and on Monday they doubled down on an issue that 80 percent of the public disagrees with—allowing biological males to compete against women and girls in athletics.

The U.S. Education Department found the state to be in violation of Title IX guidelines and therefore threatened to pull federal funding, but they offered an off-ramp: sign a Resolution Agreement and change your ways, and we’ll restore the funding.
On Monday, the state’s Education Department told the Trump administration to take a long walk off a short pier, as Golden State Republican Rep. Kevin Kiley noted on social media:
Unbelievable. California is refusing to change its policy of forcing girls to compete against biological males. The Education Department says it “disagrees” with the federal civil rights laws.
