Former Our Place building to be revamped as Montana High School Association office

A former drop-in center for Helena’s unsheltered is set to be transformed into Montana High School Association office space, according to city permits.

Plans for 631 N. Last Chance Gulch building, owned by Seeley Building LLC, show a two-story building with eight offices, a conference room and a shipping area.

The building used to be the home of Our Place, run by Good Samaritan Ministries as a resource for homeless and unhoused people. It offered internet access, classes and support groups, often focusing on those struggling with mental health issues or substance abuse.

Plans were in place to turn Our Place into an emergency winter shelter for women called Ruth’s Place. However, the building was purchased by Rex Seeley January 2024, a month after zoning was cleared for the women’s shelter.
