KRAMBU Unveils Plans for World’s Most Sustainable AI Factory in Montana

KRAMBU, Inc., a sustainable high-performance computing infrastructure company, announced this week the development of a next-generation AI data center campus in Montana—what the company is calling the world’s most sustainable “AI Factory.”

The project is designed to redefine the future of artificial intelligence infrastructure by integrating direct liquid cooling (DLC) technology, renewable energy sources, and industrial symbiosis to create a regenerative digital ecosystem. The facility will support the growing global demand for AI and high-performance computing (HPC) while minimizing environmental impact and delivering long-term benefits to the surrounding region.

  • Renewable energy integration, including solar, biomass-to-energy, and on-site green hydrogen production.
  • Advanced waste heat recapture systems that channel surplus heat into agricultural, commercial, and industrial use on the broader property.
  • On-site power generation, including green hydrogen and natural gas, to increase grid independence and energy resilience.

KRAMBU’s approach, known as the Industrial Symbiosis Model, aims to transform traditional data centers into multifunctional technology campuses where computing power is only one part of a larger, interconnected energy and economic engine. The campus is designed for scalable growth, with future expansions to include co-located industries and additional compute halls.
