Former Grizzly helps Rams win L.A. debut

Former Montana Grizzly running back Chase Reynolds caught a 14-yard touchdown in the 3rd quarter Saturday that jump-started a Los Angeles Rams comeback win in the team’s first game in Southern California in over 21 years.

The Rams, who relocated from St. Louis in the offseason, were down 24-7 to the Dallas Cowboys at halftime of their first preseason game, before scoring 21 unanswered points after the break to win 28-24.  Sean Mannion connected with Reynolds early in the third quarter to pull the team within 24-14.

It was Reynolds’ second career preseason touchdown – his first since Week 4 of his rookie year in 2013.  He has never scored in the regular season.

Reynolds finished Saturday night’s game with two catches for 19 yards, adding four carries for 11 yards on the ground.

Mannion hit Aaron Green for a 9-yard TD with 1:54 to play for the game-winning score.

The Rams previously played in Los Angeles from 1946 until 1994.  The team moved to St. Louis starting in the 1995 season, and won the franchise’s only Super Bowl on January 30, 2000 – a 23-16 triumph over the Tennessee Titans.
