Montana Attorney General Tim Fox is praising his doctor and advocating for cancer screenings after he was diagnosed with colon cancer last month. According to Fox, he went his doctor with symptoms of fatigue and back pain.
“[My doctor] recommended some blood tests and asked if I ever had a colonoscopy,” Fox said. “I told him I did. Then he asked when I was due for another one and I said not for some time. Then he said, ‘why don’t we get one now?’ They discovered colon cancer and I had colon surgery on the 29th of March and spent Easter in the hospital.”
Fox says the discovery of cancer renewed his enthusiasm for his work and helped him to focus on the important things in life like his children and grandchildren. He shows no signs of backing away from his office or potentially running for Governor in 2020.
