Supreme Court: Bozeman to keep $200,000 left from settlement with SWMBIA

The Montana Supreme Court ruled this week the Southwest Montana Building Industry Association must return $200,000 to the city left over from an old lawsuit settlement around impact fees.

The March 27 ruling upholds an order made in Gallatin County District Court.

“We’re disappointed,” said SWMBIA attorney Art Wittich. “That money was supposed to be the benefit of fee payers, not the benefit of the city.”
