Native American-owned dispensary, N8V Grown, opens new location near Billings

N8V Grown, a Native American-owned and operated recreational marijuana dispensary, opened its first Billings-area storefront Friday, bringing the company’s signature high-potency products to Montana’s largest city.

The shop — located at 7342 Eggebrecht Lane — is the sixth N8V Grown location statewide and the first near an urban center. Recreational cannabis shops are legal in Yellowstone County but banned within city limits.

Founded in 2018 by father and son Kenneth and Charles Swan, the business began in Box Elder, on Rocky Boy’s Reservation, where Charles Swan said he hoped to serve his own community by launching what was then a medical dispensary.

N8V Grown store manager Becca Dabdoubolivera serves a customer at the newly-opened Billings location on July 18, 2025.

“There wasn’t really any medical shops there at the time,” Swan said.
