We’re pretty much off to the races for the 2026 midterms, and those elections are going to be crucial to keeping up the remarkable momentum we have seen since January 20th, 2025. A big part of that will involve the GOP hanging on to control in the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Which brings us to Kentucky. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has chosen not to run, and this presumably safe Republican seat is open. One candidate, Kentucky businessman Nate Morris, has announced for the seat, and on Thursday, we learned that he has picked up the key endorsement of Senator Jim Banks (R-IN). An email from the Morris campaign states:
