Summer tradition: Symphony Under the Stars returns to Carroll for 21st year

The Helena Symphony held its 21st annual Symphony under the Stars concert Saturday night on the grounds of Carroll College, bringing people together for a night of music with a dash of nostalgia underneath the summer sky.

The Helena Symphony and Chorale played Saturday night at the 21st annual Intrepid Credit Union Symphony Under the Stars on the Carroll College campus.

The orchestra began playing signature songs of American culture at 8:30 p.m. This year’s theme was “Icons,” an homage to music legends such as Elton John, Aretha Fraklin, and Elvis Presley.

Amy Hurley has lived in Helena for 14 years, yet this was her second time year attending the Symphony.

“The set list looks amazing. I’m most excited to hear “Hey Jude.” I’m a huge Beatles fan,” she said with a grin.
