Turtle The Theatre Cat Dazzles Young Audience At GGCL

Turtle The Theatre Cat, a Theatre for Young Audience (TYA) production, made its debut in front of the Glasgow City-County Library on June 24. A total of 131 audience members of all ages, from babies, to toddlers, to school age to teens and adults enjoyed the half hour production directed by Fort Peck Summer Theatre alum Megan Wilshire.

The production showed Turtle’s journey from being abandoned to finding a new home at the theatre. The annual Talent Show is coming up and Turtle is not sure she wants to be a part of it. However, her friends encourage her to explore all aspects of the theatre in preparation for the big show, including costumes, light and scenery. While learning the importance of everyone’s roles in creating a production, Turtle gains confidence while also learning the secrets of the magic behind the scenes.
