President Donald Trump is set to deliver remarks on artificial intelligence and sign AI-related executive orders as he rolls out his administration’s “action plan” to give the U.S. a competitive advantage with the nascent technology.
White House officials said earlier Wednesday that the plan includes requiring AI developers to ensure their chatbots are “free of ideological bias” in order to be eligible for federal contracts.
“We believe that AI systems should be free of ideological bias and not be designed to pursue socially engineered agendas,” David Sacks, the White House artificial intelligence and crypto czar, told reporters.
The federal government will update its procurement guidelines to contract only with large language model developers that “allow free speech and expression to flourish,” said Michael Kratsios, director
