Wearley honored at Montana Range Days

Milford Wearley, a retired agriculture education teacher and long-time resident of Choteau, was honored with the 2025 Montana Range Days Hall of Fame Award during banquet festivities at Montana Range Days in Miles City on June 24.

Montana Range Days (MRD) is a rangeland educational event for young children through adult age individuals that inspires participants to develop an interest and become more appreciative of the largest land resource in Montana. MRD started in 1977 in Jordan and will celebrate 50 years of commitment to the rangeland resource during MRD in Malta in 2027.

Wearley was recognized by the MRD Steering Committee for his commitment to scoring the contest at MRD locations for many years and bringing Future Farmers of America teams from the Choteau area to participate in MRD. He was also recognized for his 40 years of service as an agriculture education teacher and FFA leader at Choteau Public
