White House Border Czar Tom Homan held a press conference in Minneapolis to update the public on ongoing immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota, emphasizing the removal of dangerous criminal aliens and reaffirming the Trump administration’s commitment to public safety.
“These targeted operations continue to remove the worst of the worst illegal alien killers, rapists, gang members, and other violent criminals from our streets,” Homan said. “This fulfills President Trump’s commitment to public safety and the rule of law.”
Homan noted that recent discussions with state and local officials — including Governor Tim Walz, Attorney General Keith Ellison, Mayor Jacob Frey, and multiple police chiefs and sheriffs — have helped refine the operations to be more efficient, professional, and targeted.

Border security progress: Homan credited the Trump administration with achieving “the most secure border in the history of this nation,” which he said has reduced border deaths, sexual assaults, and the flow of fentanyl into the country.
Homan also addressed recent attacks on ICE, promising accountability: “About the organization and the funding of the attacks on ICE… They’ll be held accountable. Justice is coming.”
He concluded by emphasizing the administration’s dual focus on enforcement and safety: “The President didn’t want to see anybody die… I don’t want to see anybody die — even the people we’re looking for. My conversations over the last few days are leading us to a safer community.”
