CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Applications are open for Wyoming residents seeking a seat on the Wyoming Main Street Advisory Board, a volunteer panel that helps guide efforts to strengthen downtowns and support local businesses across the state.
The seven-member board works alongside Wyoming Business Council staff on the services and priorities of the Wyoming Main Street program. Members are appointed by the governor, serve three-year terms and participate in meetings and other program activities throughout the year. (wyomingbusiness.org)
The Wyoming Business Council said applicants aren’t required to have previous board experience or a background with the Main Street program.
Wyoming Main Street Manager Kayla Kler said the position offers residents a chance to contribute directly to the future of communities around the state.
“Serving on this board is a meaningful way to help build a stronger future for Wyoming’s downtowns and the people who call these communities home,” Kler said.
She said the program is seeking people who care about their communities and are willing to play an active role in supporting downtown development.
Current board members represent Cheyenne, Sheridan, Gillette, Rock Springs, Newcastle and Thermopolis. One seat is listed as vacant. (wyomingbusiness.org)
