The former assistant principal at Laurel Middle School had her license suspended for three years following revelations that she sent a teenage boy partially nude photos during the last school year.
The Office of Public Instruction ruled in July to suspend the license of Sarah Sheldon for three years.
She’s been licensed to teach since 2002 and was licensed as an administrator in 2010.
Sheldon submitted her letter of resignation to the superintendent at the start of December, following the dissemination of partially nude photos she had sent to a 17-year-old boy.
Sheldon said Monday in response to the article that she has taken responsibility for her actions and is deeply sorry.
