Helena – The Montana Chamber Foundation announces its second grant from the Gianforte Family Foundation to achieve its 10-year strategic plan, Envision 2026. The goals of that plan are to increase jobs, per capita income, and gross state product, through focusing on workforce, entrepreneurship, business basics and infrastructure.
“We are grateful for the continued support from the Gianforte Family Foundation,” said Webb Brown, executive director of the Montana Chamber Foundation. “We accomplished a lot with our original grant, including the launch of ‘Make Montana Home’, our program to entice former Montanans back home, as well as welcome new Montanans. This support will help us build on that effort.”
The new grant will fund the expansion of the Make Montana Home program. The three focuses of Make Montana Home are to:
- highlight entrepreneurship and high-growth jobs in Montana, such as in the high-tech sector and manufacturing;
- give rural communities a digital footprint on a statewide platform; and
- engage and promote telecommuting in Montana.
The Montana Chamber Foundation looks forward to working with rural communities and telecommuters to showcase the value of these ways to make Montana home and build a greater Montana.
